Hop-On Inc releases USD10 GSM cell phone
May 26, 2008 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Hop-On Inc (Other OTC:HPNN.PK), which develops and markets wireless phones and accessories, revealed on 23 May that the Hop1800, its GSM cell phone, is available in the US and abroad for USD10. The company is offering two HOP1800 phones, one a Dual-band 850/1900MHz and the 900/1800MHz for Europe and Asia, weighing 77 grams, using Infineon chip sets for audio quality, reception and call stability. It has 4 hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby time and polyphonic ring tones.
The company offers a USD5 rebate for returning the phone to encourage recycling, even though it is disposable. Hop-On CEO Peter Michaels maintains that it is the perfect iPhone travelling companion as the cost of living and roaming fees are becoming unaffordable.
